What’s caught our eye on the WiRE Rural Marketplace this month …

Julies’ Choice:

The Straw Bale Cabin – a unique holiday experience (www.homegrownhome.co.uk)

Carol Atkinson - Found on the WiRE Rural Marketplace http://www.wireuk.org/directory.aspx?member=744

As the self appointed eco warrior of the WiRE Team this holiday cabin made from straw bales caught my eye. It stands in the corner of a wildflower meadow, over looking a delightful pond.

The website includes a video of the cabin being built and a blog illustrating the journey through to receiving paying guests.

Straw Bale Cabin

Have a look at the links page - which includes WiRE. As an added bonus this site was also designed by a WiRE member!
